Gliffy

I recently learned about, Gliffy, an online version of Visio that is described as "Diagram software for the rest of us," on the site's homepage.

My team had initially used Inspiration to create our project flowchart, but were in search of something that would allow us to collaborate. A special thanks goes out to my esteemed colleague, David Robertson of Covenant Technology Services, for sharing this resource.

A preview of the team flowchart can be seen here.

I'm looking forward to collaborating with my team members as we continue to change and recreate our Underground Railroad Game Scenarios.

Come Home

There are times when I miss this old house, the simplicity of life, my childhood and family and friends. Any time I have the opportunity to visit I try to take it and each and every time I'm flooded with a wealth of emotions.

There were many times, as a child, I disappointed my parents and got myself in trouble. There are also times I tried to hide things from them. However, even when I messed up and my parents found out, I knew I could "come home." At home I always felt safe and secure, accepted and loved.

The same is true of our Heavenly Father; no matter what we've done or where we've been we can always come home to Him.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:13

Happy New Year; Welcome to 2010!

It's definitely been too long since I've posted; I'm hoping to do better in 2010. ;) We'll see. Anyway...now for this post.

The beginning of the year is a time for reflection and renewal; an opportunity for a fresh start. I am one that likes to establish personal goals, but I've never been one to make "New Year's Resolutions." And while there are several things that I would like to accomplish during 2010, I am not going to make a list of specific items. However, many of the items fall into the following categories of spiritual growth, health and education.

I've recently been reflecting on a new verse (see below) that is positive and helps provide me guidance at this point in my life. I will be interested to take a look back on this posting one year from today to see how I have changed and grown.

Hoping everyone has an awesome 2010! Praying God's protection and richest blessings on you all.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 Corinthians 10: 3-5
